Pokemon Unite Wigglytuff Build Guide

Wigglytuff is a powerful Support character in Pokemon Unite with some pretty unique potential for builds. While Wigglytuff players won't necessarily rack up tons of kills, the impact they can have on a game is huge.

While 'mons like Garchomp, Lucario, and Zeraora are more ostensibly simple – they're big bruisers designed to take out enemies in full team wipes – Support characters are a bit more nuanced. Eldegoss is a healer, Mr. Mime is able to put up defensive barriers, and Wigglytuff can sing your foes to sleep with a deadly lullaby.

If you're looking for advice on how to play Wigglytuff in Pokemon Unite, you've come to the right place. Here's everything you need to know about making the best Wigglytuff build in Pokemon Unite.

Pokemon Unite Wigglytuff Build Guide: Best Moves

When you start a match in Pokemon Unite as Jigglypuff, you'll have the option to choose between Pound and Defense Curl. As with all Pokemon, you should always choose the higher-damage move at the start in order to maximize your leveling efficiency, which means you should choose Pound – you'll get Defense Curl once you level up anyway.

We've seen plenty of Wigglytuff players leaning into Rollout builds, although this isn't the optimal way to play the character – it's a Support 'mon, so a build that revolves around DPS is a bit of a waste. The moves you want to learn as the game goes on are definitely Dazzling Gleam and Sing, which provide you with great crowd control abilities and the unique potential to put enemies to sleep. Combined with Wigglytuff's Unite move, Starlight Recital, this build allows you to set up full team wipes for the heavy hitters on your squad.

Pokemon Unite Wigglytuff Build Guide: Best Items

For held items, you'll want to focus on things that increase Wigglytuff's survivability. We don't think Leftovers are necessary when the Shell Bell exists, but you'll definitely want the latter. If you have all three slots unlocked, we'd recommend the Float Stone and Rocky Helmet for the remaining two, giving you some much needed extra mobility and sustainability options. Another good alternative is the Scoring Shield, which is a great item for basically every Pokemon in the game.

For battle items, you'll probably want to use either X Attack or X Speed. The Eject Button can come in handy as well, although Wigglytuff benefits more from an X item.

Pokemon Unite Wigglytuff Build Guide: Best Playstyle

As mentioned above, Wigglytuff is a Support character, meaning you're not necessarily supposed to be off on your own chasing kills. Instead, use the build above to prime enemies for your teammates. To take full advantage of Wigglytuff, you should be putting enemies to sleep and pushing them towards your squad for team wipes – always stay with at least one teammate, preferably one with a high damage output, and make sure that all of your pushes correspond with one another.
