Although the PSP store is closing today, Sony has confirmed that you can still buy PSP games through the PS3 and PS Vita stores.

As reported by VGC, Sony has updated its "important notices regarding PlayStation products and services" page to elaborate on the state of the PSP store, which is due to close today.

The new message is in relation to the closure of the store and what will happen to the PSP games left on the store. The message says, "You’ll still be able to purchase and play PSP content that is available on the PS3 and PS Vita stores. However, you’ll no longer be able to make purchases via the in-game store for PSP content."

This confirms that gamers can continue to buy PSP games from the PS3 and PS Vita stores, as there were previously fears that the PSP exclusive titles would be completely unavailable following the store's closure.

Sony also confirmed through this update that players will be able to redownload content that they already own on the PSP. Another message on the page reads, "You’ll still be able to download your previously purchased PSP content. You can download your previously purchased PSP content onto your PSP by accessing the Download List on the device."

Beyond that, Sony also clarified that players will no longer be able to make in-game purchases or search for games. It sounds like players will have to purchase games from a PS3 or PS Vita, and then access the download list from their PSP to download the game.

It was previously reported back in March that the PS3, PS Vita and PSP stores would be closing for good, before being confirmed by Sony itself. After outcry from fans, Sony then reversed the decision and clarified that only the PSP store would be closing.

Since then, Sony has made it clear that none of the content on any of the three PlayStation Stores will be disappearing, and that players will be able to access the content for good.
