Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Revealed

Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro has been revealed. The new Razer DeathAdder V3 pro is a massive upgrade from the DeathAdder V2 Pro, which was frequently named the best gaming mouse ever when it was released back in 2020. The mouse also sold over 15 million units, as confirmed by Razer themselves, which makes it the most successful gaming mouse released.

Talking about the overall design first, Razer has decided that they’re taking the minimal approach and will be focusing their efforts on weight reduction, but this doesn’t mean that they’re not going to add the best tech they can to the mouse for the best gaming performance.

Compared to the DeathAdder V2 Pro, the V3 reduces the weight from 88 to 63 grams which makes around a 28.5% reduction. This means the mouse has undergone a complete redesign. To get there, the team switched from a unibody shell to a split keycap design, combining the power and DPI buttons into one, and for the first time – removing all Chroma RGB. No Chroma RGB seems almost sacrilege for a Razer product, but the company has been adamant about balancing functionality and weight.

As for the redesign itself, it’s all very subtle but based on feedback from pro players. Compared to the V2, there’s now less button glare, smoother finger grooves, a taller scroll wheel, taller side buttons, better surface material, an added ring finger bar, a split keycap for better feel, and improved natural pronation support for a more comfortable grip. which aligns more closely with your palm.

Coming to the technology in the mouse itself, the DeathAdder V3 Pro sets the sensor to Focus Pro 30K Optical with up to an impressive 30,000 DPI. The acceleration goes from 50G to 70, while resolution accuracy improves slightly to 99.8 percent (from 98.6). This sensor works on glass surfaces that must be at least 2mm thick and all frosted types and have longer battery life.

If you’re interested, the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro is now available to ship from Razer’s website. The retail price for the mouse is $149.99, this includes the mouse, dongle, Type-C cable, wireless USB dongle, and USB dongle adapter, along with grip tape.
