In a little over a month, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be premiering on Netflix. To celebrate, a merchandising company called Ultra New Planning will be sell a couple of different kinds of Resident Evil products. There are hats, change purses, and even bottles of liquor. It is likely that the merchandise will be exclusive to Japan, unless Capcom or another publishing company is planning to ship them to North America. There are two different kinds of hats; a “Biohazard: Infinite Darkness” branded hat and a Mad Dogs hat, which are a military group in the show, both of which have embroidered logos.
The change purses come in four different styles. There is a Mad Dogs, Alien Coffee, a zombie design, and a pistol design. They are approximately 5.5cm wide by 9.5cm in length, can hold small objects like keys and coins, and can easily be attached to keychains. The liquor is a special bottle of Resident Evil-flavored Cocalero, a South American alcoholic drink. It is flavored with 17 different kinds of herbs such as orange peels and juniper, and contains 29% alcohol.
The hats will start to be sold within Japan in mid-August and the change purses will be released in mid-July. The Cocalero bottles will also be available sometime in July, but they will be available for worldwide shipping, so if you are a big Resident Evil fan, you can enjoy the movie with a drink of Cocalero. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will premier on July 8th.
