Capcom has shared a new developer diary for Resident Evil Village, alongside news they’re trying to port the game to previous generation platforms.

The developer is trying to port Resident Evil Village back to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (via Games Jouhou), as it’s currently only planned for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.

“Despite Resident Evil Village being developed just for next-generation consoles and PC, we’re investigating bringing that experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” said game producer Tsuyoshi Kanda during their panel at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. “We’re checking into it but can’t make any promises, but we will focus on making the best survival-horror experience.”
