Sony have shown off the first images of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, along with announcing a delay for the live-action movie.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City premieres November 24th.

As previously reported‘ the film is being handled by Constantin Film, and focused on an origin story adaptation with “faithful ties” to the series. Constantin and Roberts note the movie is focused on the events of the first two games. Johannes Roberts will write and direct.

The cast of the film was also previously confirmed. This includes Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Neal McDonough (William Birkin), Donal Logue (Chief Brian Irons), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Avan Jogia (Leon S. Kennedy), and Lily Gao (Ada Wong).

Now, Sony have shared images from the film, along with sneakily announcing a delayed release date. The film was originally set to premiere September 3rd. In the first photo we see Leon and Clair, and in the third we see Wesker, another man, Jill, and Chris. This man seems to be played by Chad Rook, and according to Bloody Disgusting would be Richard Aiken.
