Battlefield Portal allows you to discover, create, and share unexpected battles from Battlefield 2042 as well as reimagined classics from Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3
To reiterate, yesterday was a big day for EA, since none of the games mentioned at the EA Play Live event defrauded the audience. Yesterday on GameFreaks 365, we discussed Grid Legends, Lost in Random, and Dead Space, which were the most popular games of the day. The second most important announcement was Battlefield Portal, a game mechanic that would be implemented for the first time in Battlefield 2042 and would allow us to connect with Battlefield generations past.

A portal between to battle between generations
Battlefield Portal, a first for the Battlefield franchise, is a community-driven platform meant to provide a wide range of innovative experiences by allowing players the ability to define their own rules and build their own ultimate Battlefield experience – and share them with others. Battlefield Portal will be accessible as one of three main Battlefield 2042 experiences at launch.
Players will be able to employ a sophisticated creation suite in Battlefield Portal, which includes Settings, custom modes, and a Logic Editor. This will allow users to not only build, but also share and discover surprising fights complete with weapons, vehicles, equipment, and more, set in Battlefield 2042 locales and famous, fan-favorite maps from Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3.
“Battlefield Portal is truly a love letter to our passionate and long-time fans.” Said Justin Wiebe, senior design director at Ripple Effect Studios.
“We’ve created a set of tools that really gives the community the chance to create their own signature Battlefield experiences, while also bringing back these iconic Battlefield classics for our veteran players to revel in and our new players to experience for the first time.”
A bunch of new content
Battlefield Portal will feature all the material from the world of 2042, as well as six extra maps from three of the franchise’s most popular titles, as well as more vehicles, weapons, gadgets, factions, and classes from each game.
Battlefield Portal will include all the additional material provided to the game through Battlefield 2042 live services, in addition to the stuff accessible at launch. In the game’s first year of live operation, Battlefield 2042 plans to release four Seasons, each with four combat passes, four new Specialists, new locations, vehicles, weaponry, and other new content.
Battlefield 2042 is currently available for pre-order and will be released on October 22 for $59.99 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and $69.99 for Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5.
