Robux can be used to purchase all kinds of things in Roblox from custom T-Shirts to permanent exclusive upgrades. Unfortunately, though, it's not possible to get free Robux – unless you're prepared to get a little creative.

While it's always an option to directly purchase Robux from the in-game store with real money, one can also create custom items and even host their own games to bring in the big bucks. It takes some effort, but it's a great option for players wanting a little more premium currency.
Buying Robux with real-world money is the most convenient option for most players. The options are relatively cheap and pre-loaded cards are available at just about every grocery store in the Gift Card section.
Parents of children who are into Roblox should keep their credit card details secret and un-saved to the account, though. Kids making purchases with saved credit information without parental knowledge is an altogether too common occurrence.
There are three tiers of monthly memberships available for Roblox players. As a member, players get a variety of goodies every month and can even benefit from premium options on custom servers.
The first tier is $4.99 a month, which comes with 450 Robux. The second tier is $9.99 each month and rewards 1000 Robux, while the last subscription option is $19.99 a month and grants 2200 Robux.
Robux can be purchased directly from Roblox in three tiers, similar to the three tiers of a subscription to Roblox Premium. These are single-time payments, though, and can be a better option for those who don't want to commit to a recurring fee.
The tiers offered are $4.99 for 400 Robux, $9.99 for 800 Robux, and $19.99 for 1,700 Robux. These are also available in Gift Card physical format which can be handy for those who don't want their payment information saved to the account.
There are two primary ways to get Robux without spending money directly on Robux. Creating and selling custom items, like wearable clothes, is one way to go about this. While free-to-play players can create custom clothes for their own use, premium players can sell these designs to others for Robux.

It's a good way to spark creativity and make a little bit of spending currency on the side, too. If you make a particularly popular design the Robux will start to flow in before you know it.
Before creating any custom design to sell the player will need to make sure they have already created an item of clothing. It's possible to upload a skin of the clothing directly to Roblox, thereby showing the design on your character and making it available for use.
After this, head to the "Create" tab at the top of the Roblox site and select Shirts or Pants. From here, click the gear icon to the left of the clothing, click Configure, and then Sales. This brings up a screen that prompts the player to put in a Robux price for their item.
T-Shirts are a different category from Shirts and Pants partly because they are, by default, cheaper. While Shirts and Pants have a minimum price of 5 Robux, T-Shirts have a minimum of 2 Robux.
The process is largely the same for making a T-Shirt, but be sure your design fits within the Roblox standard template before upload. These have a lower minimum Robux price but tend to be more popular because of it.
The most lucrative (and most difficult) way to make Robux in Roblox is to create your own game and monetize it in a number of different ways. Games that offer special upgrades, premium services, completely unique items, and include advertisements tend to make a ton of money.

Creating a game in the Roblox engine might seem easy, but it's actually incredibly difficult to get everything to work 100% correctly. It's more intuitive than other game design engines, but it's not any less difficult to come up with a new idea that will capture regular visitors' attention.
Premium Roblox players (those with a subscription) tend to be more likely to spend their Robux on specialty game-specific items and upgrades. You can even create special locked-off zones accessible by Premium players only by using the Game Pass system, as well as special permanent upgrades and utilities.
It's a little bit complicated, but essentially you go to your uploaded game, click "Create Game Pass" in the options menu to the right, and configure what each pass does and how much it costs. These tend to be permanent upgrades, though, so be wary of including too few options at too low a price for particularly spendy players.
NPCs are a fantastic way to engage players in your game rather than have them go to an ugly menu via their user interface. Creating an interactive NPC is a part of designing the game, and they can then be assigned roles and unique shops based on what you want to sell.
For example, two NPC Shopkeeper ideas could be a Tinkerer who sells permanent upgrades for Robux, while another might be a Tailor who sells custom clothing and wearable items.
