RPG Showa American Story Officially Announced For PC And PlayStation
Nekcom Games is an independent video game developer based in China. The company has partnered with video game publisher 2P Games who have released several indie titles. The companies have announced that the upcoming release of Showa American Story for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Showa American Story is an action RPG. The companies are yet to confirm a release date for the game. But, fans can add the game to their wishlist on Steam here, as its official page opened up today!
Showa American Story is a love letter to 80s pop culture in America. It makes constant reference to B-Movies and has that sort of unique feel. The game’s three minute long reveal trailer does an excellent job of giving fans some insight into the title. The trailer highlights its gameplay, art-style and some of the story as the protagonist wields her weapons against her enemies.
Japanese culture has now been planted in America following immigration. A mysterious incident occurs which affects the social order and a teenage girl suddenly rises from the dead. Choko finds herself having to survive in world filled with zombies, monsters and other threatening humans.
Showa American Story features a free flowing combat style that allows players to use a variety of weapons, different fighting styles and more. Choko will use an RV as her new home as she explores America. Players will be able to upgrade their character, status and unlock abilities. Furthermore, Showa American Story gives players a ton of customization options to Choko and her RV.
