With Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's detective suspense thriller Lost Judgment on the horizon, there is a lot of hype behind it. Many fans are looking to see the continuation of Takayuki Yagami's adventures in Ijincho, with a plot that dramatically raises the stakes and tons of new side-content. The original game was already quite beefy, with the original Judgment holding several side cases and mini games, which this sequel is looking to step up in that department as well. New screenshots and details from Sega revealed not only some of the side cases, but also some of the Master System games, and a new date-able NPC.
Lost Judgment's side content, much like the Yakuza series, is varied and rich. The side-cases were similar to Yakuza's substories, with each one telling a small, yet comical or heartwarming story where NPCs call upon Yagami's detective skills. There were also some girls that the player could romance as Yagami, each with their own tastes and side story to tackle as well. Finally, some classic Sega games could be played within Judgment in the arcades, like Space Harrier or Fighting Vipers.

Lost Judgment's new screenshots show that this variety of side cases is being kept intact. One takes advantage of the new school setting that Yagami is in, where he investigates a kind teacher who has past anger management issues. Another involves Yagami and his buddy Kaito looking over a young boy as he goes on his first errand, shopping alone. One of the most bizzarre ones seen in the screenshots involve a stolen Kappa statue, which is looking to be a barrel of laughs based on what's been seen.
A new datable NPC was also shown off, named Emily S. Mochizuki, a 24-year old woman from England who works at a bar called "Girls Bite." She becomes involved in a side case where she eventually ends up in danger while Yagami investigates the case. Eventually, Yagami and Emily can become romantically involved, where the player can increase their relationship values between them with conversation topics, exploring the city, or playing against her in any of Lost Judgment's minigames. If she becomes Yagami's girlfriend, she can support him in battle with a unique EX-Action, or cheering him on to restore his EX gauge.
Finally, the last detail shown off in these screenshots were the variety of Sega Master System games available to play in Lost Judgment. Some of these include Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Fantasy Zone, and Penguin Land. With the game launching next month, this game is looking to be jammed with even more content than the previous game.
Lost Judgment releases on September 24 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
