Shrek Is Moving To A New Swamp – Hunt: Showdown Update Includes A Replica Of His House

Hunt: Showdown recently added the DeSalle map to its monster-infested world, giving players – and monsters – a whole new location to explore. It turns out one of DeSalle's monsters might already be familiar to players, as a near-perfect replica of Shrek's cabin has been discovered in its swampy foothills.

Spotted by streamer JackFrags, the house looks remarkably similar to the one seen in all the Shrek movies. Featuring the iconic vault toilet, a set of chairs in the front yard, and a towering spire, there's no mistaking the home for anything other than Shrek's abode. The only bad news is both Shrek and Donkey are nowhere to be found.

If you're unfamiliar with Hunt: Showdown, the game is a PvPvE FPS – meaning you're competing against other players to hunt down an NPC target. The DeSalle map was recently added on July 9, featuring 16 new compounds and breathing fresh life into the multiplayer title. Before DeSalle, the game saw the Beast Hunter DLC, which brought a few new weapons and a Legendary Hunter to the mix.

It's unlikely we'll ever actually see Shrek roaming the swamps of DeSalle, but no doubt there are plenty of other secrets waiting to be discovered throughout the new map.

If you need a bit more Shrek today, you can check out any number of games that have unofficially brought the loveable ogre to life.
