Sifu Is Launching February 22 2022

Sloclap debuted a brand new trailer for Sifu at Opening Night Live, which confirmed a release date of February 22 2022.

Earlier in the week, Sloclap announced that it would be showcasing Sifu at Gamescom and revealing "exciting news". As it turns out, that news was of a release date for the game, which will be hitting its "Early 2022" goal set a few months ago.

As well as a release date, we also got a new trailer that was packed with new Sifu footage. Much like other trailers that we've seen of the game, it shows the main character wandering through different locations and beating the snot out of literally anyone in their path.

We also get to see more of the game's death mechanic, which lets the player return from death but at the consequence of being a little older each time. It's previously been explained that when the player comes back from the dead a bit older, they'll also have more skills and moves to use, which was showcased in a recent trailer that also showed off what fighting with weapons looks like.

Sifu was originally supposed to release in 2021, before being delayed into 2022 to prevent crunch amidst development struggles caused by the pandemic. The date given at the time was "Early 2022", which we thankfully now know is
