Skate 4 Will Not Be At EA Play Live

Believe it or not, it's been a whole year since the Skate series was revived with the announcement of the fourth instalment. The developers have made a rare update to the game's Twitter page, bringing news both good and bad.

First, the bad – Skate 4 will not be part of EA Play next week. This may be disappointing to longtime fans, as they have already had to wait 11 years since the previous title. However, it isn't all negative, as the developers have revealed that we'll be getting "a little something" shared with us tomorrow.

Despite the lack of game updates, it has indeed been a busy year for developer Full Circle. It was only formed in January of this year, and according to the statement, has spent the last few months recruiting for Skate.

"It's still early and we are committed to doing this thing right", reads the statement shared to the Skate Twitter account. "[That] means it's gonna take some time. Our number one goal is to not blow it. For you, for us… for Skate."

EA Play is set to kick off next Thursday. Skate won't be the only notable absence from the event, with it already being announced that there will be no Star Wars or BioWare to showcase. Instead, EA Play will focus on "games that are coming out soon", such as Battlefield 2042.
