Snoop Dogg Is Coming To WWE: Champions

Snoop Dogg's affiliation with WWE has been reignited as the rapper returns to mobile game WWE: Champions.

2021 is hopefully going to be a year of reparation for the broken relationship between WWE and video games. WWE 2K20's launch in 2019 was so bad that the studio took a break from its main series and will return later this year via WWE 2K22. Suffice to say, another dud from 2K and the future of WWE games could be in serious jeopardy, especially with the launch of AEW's first video game fast approaching.

While you wait for the arrival of WWE 2K22, give mobile game WWE: Champions a try. If for no other reason than it has been revealed Snoop Dogg is returning to the game. Two versions of Snoop will be playable in-game, a young version of the pop culture icon, and a present-day D O double-G.

“Which Snoop will you put in the ring? Whether you pick the young OG or the current me, it’s going to be a good time for fans of WWE and the Doggfather,” Snoop said about his return to WWE: Champions. The rapper's return to the game is part of WWE's build to SummerSlam, the second biggest event in the wrestling promotion's calendar. SummerSlam will air live from Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Whether Snoop will be a part of the show or not remains to be seen. Even though he is a WWE Hall Of Famer (yes, that's real) his relationship with the company became a little fractured recently. Snoop showed up in AEW and delivered one of the worst frog splashes you will ever see. Poor splash aside, WWE was reportedly unhappy Snoop appeared in a rival wrestling company.

On the video game side of things, Snoop is making some real in-roads right now. He regularly streams on Twitch, although his antics on the platform are getting attention for all the wrong reasons right now. Not because people want to watch him play Madden, but so they can check to see if he has figured out he muted himself yet. Three of Snoop's last four streams have been in complete silence.
