Tactical Adventures have announced the Early Access release date for their upcoming tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister.

As previously reported, Solasta: Crown of the Magister is a tabletop-inspired RPG that uses the SRD 5.1 Ruleset. The game places an emphasis on verticality, as your party of adventurers delve into dangerous and ancient dungeons.

Tactical Adventures state the game aims to launch in 2021, ideally developing the game over six months while in Early Access. The Early Access build will initially include Act 1 and “a teensy bit” of Act 2, which should be over 10 hours of content. All ancestry, classes, and archetypes will be unlocked; with a level cap of 6.

“We believe that it is very important for players to reach level 5,” Tactical Adventures “as many archetypes start shining around this stage: 2nd attack for martial classes, access to powerful AoE spells, stronger cantrips… It is a very different experience from the early levels, and can affect the balance of later encounters drastically.”

The full launch will include Act 2, Act 3, side quests (such as Legendary Monster Hunts as per their Kickstarter stretch goals and character background quests), more locations, loot, and a level cap of 10. The full game promises 40 hours to complete, but varying depending on difficulty level.

The game will support English, French, German and Simplified Chinese during Early Access, and possibly more languages on release.

Bring the authentic Tabletop gaming experience to your PC!
Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.

In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
