Something for the Weekend – 16/07/22

It’s been another warm (and muggy) week for most of the UK, and things are about to get hotter with weather warnings in place for much of the country for the week ahead. Given that we’re all being advised to stay out of the heat as much as we can, it sounds like another great excuse to take refuge indoors and play some of the great games that have released recently. Hopefully your gaming room doesn’t double up as a furnace!

It was a mixed bag of scores this week, but there were a few stand out titles:

Aside from the reviews, there wasn’t much else this week. We truly are in the summer drought between ‘not E3’ and Gamescom.

Of course, we still finished the week with What We Played, which this time featured Escape Academy, Cuphead DLC and birthday boy Dom!

Here’s what you in our community have been up to this week:

  • willbuchanan continued with Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Everybody’s Golf and EA Sports Active 2. He also grinded his way to 100% in Hungry Giraffe on his Vita, and now moves onto Lego Marvel Super Heroes.
  • And MrYd continued to download everything he can from PS+ Extra. Lost Words: Beyond the Page was a quick platinum that he recommends, Ride 4’s motorcycle racing was trickier to love, and he continued on with more Evil Dead after its Army of Darkness update, with the new, smaller map being quite fun.
