Stardew Valley Fan Creates Incredible Pixel Globe of Game World

The indie title Stardew Valley has been the muse of many digital artists these past few years. The game has quickly became one of the most popular farming sims available as it features a lively town full of friendly citizens and an open farm to expand, making the game an excellent choice for fans to explore artistically. One player in particular has taken their pixel art to a whole new level, using Stardew as their inspiration. In this particular fan art, Pelican Town is reimagined from a global view, allowing fans to see every angle of the charming farm-world, and it's an incredible sight.

The artwork comes from Reddit user Daydreamer94, who's created quite a few pixel scenes for video games. Super Metroid, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Terraria are just a few that are featured on the artist's profile. With a vivid setting and colorful NPCs, Stardew Valley is a popular choice for artists to express their creative side, and fans have been creating fantastic artwork for a while now, especially for Stardew's cast of characters. But this particular perspective on the charming village is one of a kind. It shows the world of Stardew in its entirety, showcasing every single location in the game.

Every building in Pelican Town is featured on the pixelated globe. Pierre's shop and Harvey's clinic are easily recognizable in the center of the image, with the community center standing just behind. Off to the left is the player's own farm and Marnie's home, with the wizard tower tucked discreetly in the corner. The artist even went through the trouble of recreating the various trees, fountains, and even benches that are scattered around the town. The artist made the effort to include every detail of the village, and it shows. Every area of the map has been delicately crafted to match the game's counterpart.

With Stardew being one of the most successful farming sims to hit the market, fan art is in no short supply. But the community is creating more than just beautiful artwork. Players have been tinkering with new mods, player models, and even coming up with crossover concepts since Stardew Valley's launch in 2016. Few other titles have been able to combine the simulation gameplay with a creative, role-playing experience to the extent that Stardew has. It's no surprise that the indie game remains popular with artists from all walks of life. And there's plenty more art that remains to be seen.

All good things come to an end, however. After five years of success with Stardew Valley, developer ConcernedApe revealed that a new title is in the works. It's currently unknown if this new game will be an expansion to the existing farm sim, or an entirely different concept all together. Though the details are vague, if the next title is anything like Stardew, the fan art that follows will be legendary.

Stardew Valley is available on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Mobile.
