Stardew Valley continues to be an enormously popular farming sim, with new updates and events keeping players engaged and active. One of the best parts of this game is the residents of Pelican Town, who have charmed and intrigued players since Stardew Valley'srelease. Another big aspect of the success of this game is the numerous mysteries and secrets the player can uncover.
Very often, these mysteries concern the characters found in Pelican Town, especially more aloof characters like the Wizard. Fans of the game have taken it upon themselves to solve the majority of these mysteries by exploring every nook and cranny the game has to offer, but still there are things left open to interpretation. In the case of Sebastian, it has been established Demetrius is his step-father, so many have theorized about who his biological father could be. His father, presumably his mother Robin's first husband, is never explicitly mentioned. One theory posits that Morris, the manager of the Jojamart, is Sebastian's biological father.

Sebastian and Morris: The Facts
Sebastian is established as a somewhat brooding character, though certainly not as much as Shane; Sebastian is a reserved loner rather than rude. The source of Sebastian's angst comes from his relationship with his half-sister, Maru, and his step-father. Dialogue from the game describes how Sebastian feels Maru gets more attention than him, and he obviously has some insecurity about his parentage. This is probably exacerbated by the fact that Sebastian's biological father is never mentioned.
On the other hand, there is relatively little known about Morris. He is loyal to Jojamart, which causes some obvious friction with many of the villagers of Pelican Town. Since the Jojamart represents many capitalistic and consumerist practices that the idyllic setting of Stardew Valley largely eschews, Morris is a kind of villain – as much as a character can be in a game as peaceful as Stardew Valley. He cannot be befriended or romanced, unlike Sebastian.

Morris as Sebastian's Father
One of the biggest influences on the theory that Morris is Sebastian's father is the fact that no one ever talks about Robin's first husband or Sebastian's father. Keep in mind, this is true no matter how close the player becomes to any of the characters, so it is a little odd that there is absolutely zero mention of him.
In Robin's bookcase, the player can find two books entitled Maximising Your Second Marriage and Practical Tips For First Time Step-Dads. While the latter book obviously alludes to Sebastian and Demetrius' relationship, the former can be interpreted in a few ways. Primarily, that Robin really wants her second marriage to work, which makes total sense. The self-help book could also indicate that her first marriage was not a happy one, which is supported by the lack of reference to her ex.
Stardew Valley does not give any definite evidence toward Sebastian's biological father one way or another; if the father is Morris, then it makes sense that since the majority of villagers are not exactly fond of Morris, they would prefer not to bring this up. Robin has bright red hair while Sebastian's is dark, so this is assumed to come from his father. Out of the other characters in the game with dark hair, Morris does fit the criteria of being an appropriate age and being a character known though not really part of the community.
Stardew Valley does include surprising relationships between unlikely characters that are only revealed throughout the narrative, so it is not impossible that Sebastian's father is Morris. Then again, maybe Robin had Sebastian before she came to Pelican Town and his biological father is simply some unseen character from another town
Stardew Valley is available now for Mobile, PC, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
