Super Sentai and Pasela Resort Collaboration

Go, go get a ranger inspired bowl of curry at Super Sentai Restaurant in Japan.

The popular eatery and karaoke chain, Pasela Resort, in Toshima-ku, Tokyo is now home to Super Sentai Restaurant – which is an official collaboration with the Super Sentai brand. The restaurant is themed around the 45 Super Sentai entertainment works, including Himitsu Sentai Gorenger – the first of the Super Sentai metaseries that began in 1975.

The restaurant features a full menu that includes items “…inspired by the dishes and works that the hero was eating.” One delicious example is the Dino Curry Original Curry, which was served in the 2003 series – Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger. The North American version, of which, is called Power Rangers Dino Thunder. Other flavorsome favorites include Kirenger’s Favorite Large Curry and Shinkenger’s Gold Curry. To see the curry of the day, fans can visit the restaurant's official Twitter.

If sweets are more your speed, Super Sentai Restaurant has a variety of delicious desserts and eye-catching floats, which come with a “…straw marker of your favorite squadron title.”

Super Sentai Restaurant not only serves food, but also acts as a time capsule to the series. Colorful action figures depicting generations of Super Sentai rangers line the wall, as well as other memorabilia.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the first of the Power Rangers franchise and cultural juggernaut, is based off of Super Sentai’s Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger. Most of the battle footage featured in Power Rangers is from Zyuranger. In fact, for the past three decades, most of the Power Rangers series has followed the Super Sentai series.

Super Sentai continues to be an influence, not only in cuisine and television – but in gaming as well. The Arachnid Rider suit, one of the alternate suits for Peter Parker in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered for the PS5, was inspired by Kamen Rider.
