Tales Of Arise Launches Lengthy "Overview Trailer" Ahead Of September 10 Release Date

Bandai Namco has released a brand-new overview trailer for its upcoming Tales of Arise. The lengthy five-minute trailer covers just about everything the game has to offer including narrative details, characters, combat overview, game structure, and even side quests.

Tales of Arise is the 17th entry in the Tales franchise and revolves around the dual protagonists Alphen and Shionne. Alphen is an iron-masked hero whose home planet of Dahna has been enslaved and stripped of its natural resources by the nearby planet of Rena. While Alphen fights to free his people of Rena’s tyranny he encounters Shionne, a girl from Rena, who is on the run from her home. The two will join forces to change their fate and fight for freedom.

Arise will feature a charming new cast, refined combat system, and a captivating narrative all within a gorgeous world that feels worth the risk. Along with the previously revealed performance options for the game, Arise will also include a new graphic shader. The Atmospheric Shader will take inspiration from anime and watercolor paintings to create beautiful and delicate visuals within the JRPG. It will also introduce a new battle system called “Boost Strike” that allows players to chain combos of powerful attacks together with other party members.

The game will mainly take place on the world of Dahna where a mix of unique and natural environments will change appearance based on the time of day. As Alphen and Shionne, players will need to climb over rocky terrains, swim through crystal clear rivers, rest with friends around a campfire, and cook up a quick meal. With a unique group of friends, Alphen and Shionne will overcome hardships and grow together into heroes that can change the course of the world(s) they live in.

To get a preview of what all the game has in store, a free demo is available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles now. Tales of Arise is set to launch worldwide on September 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
