Ucred is the primary currency used to purchase weapons, armor, augmentations, and modifications in The Ascent, the cyberpunk game that has taken the summer by storm. New players will want ot start collecting as much Ucred as possible so that they can purchase these items from city vendors.

Stacking Ucred will make playing through the story a much more seamless experience. However, most new players do not know what Ucred is or what it looks like. A lot of people think that Ucred is ammunition rather than currency — but spoiler, guns have infinite ammo in The Ascent. Follow the tips below to get rich early in the game.
Look For The Small Crates
Ucred looks like ammunition and has a white glow. The currency drops from enemies, crates, and loot boxes. The small glowing credits will drop from about a fourth of the enemies in game. Players can also find thousands of small supply crates scattered throughout the city. The boxes appear everywhere, including near the beginner spawn. Walk through them and at least one of the boxes will contain Ucred.

Everyone should take a couple of seconds to collect the Ucred in those crates, because it will add up over a couple hours of gameplay. Also, don't be afraid to explore. There are dozens of hidden rooms filled with Ucred supply crates in The Ascent.
Sell Duplicate Items
The fastest way to get Ucred is to sell duplicate weapons and armor to vendors. After a few hours of play, every player will have tons of duplicate items. Duplicates sell for several thousand Ucred each. In the store, there is an inventory of how many items the character has. Look on the right of the weapon or armor icon.
With this method, gamers can easily get to 100k after the first story missions. Indents can sell their augmentations, tacticals, and modifications too. The buy/sell system is intuitive, and it will only takes a few seconds to sell all of the character's items.
Collect Bounties
Collecting Bounties is not the most efficient method of getting cash, but players will want to make sure they turn in the rewards. Most contracts are at least 1,000 Ucred, which is not horrible considering how weak most of the bounty targets are. Plus, gamers will get spare items and Ucred from bounty mobs.

Head to the bartender in any city to collect and sell bounties. Picking these up is always a good idea, because it keeps the game interesting while moving from place to place. The Ascent is a lot more fun if the fight never stops.
Pick Up Side Missions
It may seem obvious, but side missions reward a lot of Ucred and experience. Anyone struggling to get their funds up can play these missions to accrue money relatively quickly. Players that are stuck on a story mission will want to interact with the hundreds of NPCs in the game to pick up some interesting side quests.
These will help the character level up, as well as reward a fair amount of Ucred. Many side missions have intriguing storylines as well. It goes without saying that the main story missions award even more XP and Ucred.
Lucky Buddha
One way to make money in The Ascent is to play the slots. Gambling is a lot more enjoyable with a fictional currency. Just like in the real world, people will lose more than they win on average. However, hitting a lucky jackpot does reward more than 2x Ucred. Play the slots, and gamers may have incredible luck on occasion. Less is more with gambling because probabilities win in the end.
Another reason to visit the Golden Satori Casino is to shop at the weapons vendor. He buys and sells a few Excessive weapons, including the flamethrower.
Be Curious
Nearly all rare chests and components lie in hidden locations or behind ICE walls. Rare chests reward huge piles of Ucred, and components can be used to upgrade weapons. Open ships, lockers, and anything else that can be interacted with. All of these things will drop a few Ucred from time to time.
With supply crates and other lootable containers, gamers will be able to pick up plenty of Ucred for whatever they need. Explore the city to find more loot boxes, and eventually more Ucred.
