The Charging Wyvern Khezu Returns in Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise 01 01 2021

Monster Hunter Rise Khezu

Capcom’s latest trailer for Monster Hunter Rise has given the first and brief look at the Flying Wyvern Khezu.

As reported by SiliconEra, fans recognized the creature’s cry in The Game Awards trailer. While this latest Japanese TV advert reuses a lot of footage from that trailer, we see the beast for less than a second at 0:15.

Dubbed the Charging Wyvern, Khezu appeared in the first Monster Hunter game in 2004. The Flying Wyvern class monster lives in caves, using its strong sense of smell, electrical attacks, and long neck to attack prey. While it thrives in caves by climbing on walls and ceilings, it can also freely explore to find food, at the risk of larger monsters attacking it.

While new Japanese-mythology inspired monsters are coming to Monster Hunter Rise, returning monsters include the Altaroth, Baggi, Bnahabra, Bullfango, Gajau, Gargwa, Jagras, Kelbi, Slagtoth, Wroggi and Great Wroggi, Anjanath, Arzuros, Jyuratodus, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Pukei-Pukei, Rathalos, Rathian, Royal Ludroth, and Tobi-Kadachi.
