The Elder Scrolls Online Launches Year One Event

Bethesda is asking us to take up arms in Craglorn, Wrothgar, and the Imperial City with The Elder Scrolls Online's Year One Celebration Event. You can win coffers chock full of motifs and other loot simply by getting into the action in these zones, but daily quests will net you far better rewards.

Meanwhile, there are double loot drops in the Dragonstar and Maelstrom arenas, so now is the perfect time to rush for those specific weapons and armour pieces that you need for your build. Otherwise, you can begin by heading to the Crown Store and nabbing the free quest starter called Sand, Snow, & Blood.

You can take part regardless of whether you have spent money on the DLCs because Craglorn is free, and the Imperial City can be grabbed in the Crown Store for zero crowns – those are the only two areas required for the event tickets, as Craglorn and Wrothgar are interchangable. However, if you do want to delve into Wrothgar, the Orsinium DLC is on sale for 1,500 crowns (50% off). Alternatively, the Collector's Bundle can be bought for 2,000 crowns, netting you the Cave Bear mount, Cave Bear Cub pet, and five Crown Experience Scrolls.

Otherwise, there's the 4-DLC Mega Pack which gives you Orsinium, the Imperial City, the Thieves Guild, and the Dark Brotherhood DLCs. It costs 2,000 crowns at 50% off.

Each Year One Coffer has the potential to hold crafting materials, Imperial City key fragments, style items catered to the zones, zone gear set items, Transmutation Crystals, valuables, motif chapters (Yokundan, Celestial, Ra Gada, Trinimac, Ancient Orc, Malacath, and Xivkyn), and weapon styles.

Daily quests will also net double reward boxes while there are increased resource node rewards, bonus loot from all bosses and chests, and bonus Tel Var stones to be had in the Imperial City.

Finally, there's the standard event vendor who you can purchase items from with tickets. You get one ticket for completing a daily quest in Wrothgar or Craglorn and one for completing a district daily quest in the Imperial City. You can also buy tickets with real money.
