The Epic First Trailer For Spider-Man: No Way Home Is Finally Here

After months upon months of speculation and anticipation, the epic first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally arrived and it looks to be one unforgettable experience.

Sony and Marvel have kept the details carefully under wraps for this film for quite a while, especially when rumors of the multiverse making an appearance in phase 4 were confirmed true. Fans began to develop endless possibilities regarding where this next Spider-Man entry could go, trying to get their hands on any bits of information. Ahead of the official trailer release after Sony's appearance at CinemaCon, a leaked, unfinished version of the trailer recently went viral all over Twitter and TikTok but was then immediately taken down by Sony.

The third entry in this new trilogy starring Tom Holland in the titular role, Spider-Man: No Way Home seems to pick up where Spider-Man: Far From Home left off. After having his identity exposed by Mysterio to the public, the world is now aware of who Spider-Man is. What starts out calm soon turns into a nightmare for Peter Parker and his friends and family, as he now has to deal with being in the spotlight and having everyone associate him as Spider-Man. Wanting to redo what occurred and return to being anonymous, Parker pays a visit to Doctor Stephen Strange to see if he could cast a spell or use his magic to fix what's going on. Although Strange states to Peter that no one, including MJ, Ned, and Aunt May will remember the past events of Peter as Spider-Man, all feels well at first, but for Parker, he should be careful what he wishes for.

An entire multiverse is introduced that tampers with space and time, opening doors to new worlds that both Strange and Parker couldn't have imagined. As confirmed, characters from previous Spider-Man films such as Sam Raimi's trilogy have been confirmed. Towards the end of the trailer, one of Green Goblin's pumpkin bombs from 2002's Spider-Man makes an appearancerolling on a freeway, and then immediately after, Alfred Molina's Doc Ock from 2004's Spider-Man 2 appears out of a cloud of smoke and stands tall above Parker.

There is definitely a lot to digest here. Being the 3rd installment in this trilogy and with the buildup up of the multiverse all throughout this year (presented in WandaVision and Loki), the stakes need to be higher than ever in order to create the most memorable MCU phase yet. Spider-Man: No Way Home's cast will also include Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will release theatres on December 17, 2021.
