Finally, here we are! The highly anticipated The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles compilation is out now. It contains titles formerly exclusive to Japan – The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve.
After a long wait, the day has finally arrived. Capcom’s collection, which we previously discussed, is now available to all Ace Attorney fans. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles contains two of the series’ most essential titles, The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve, which was only available in Japan.
Perhaps one of the best Ace Attorney games has arrived
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is set in the late nineteenth century, between Japan’s Meiji Period and Britain’s Victorian era. It follows an ambitious Japanese lawyer called Ryunosuke Naruhodo, an ancestor of courtroom legend Phoenix Wright. Ryunosuke must put his attorney abilities to the test with the help of his legal aid, Susato Mikotoba, and London’s famous investigator Herlock Sholmes (get it?) as he attempts to solve the secrets behind ten riveting cases.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles adds new gaming elements, “Dance of Deduction” and “Summation Examination,” in addition to the standard Courtroom and Investigation games Ace Attorney fans adore.
Dance of Deduction, Summation Examinations, and Bonus Content
During investigations, players will engage in an enthusiastic “Dance of Deduction” with Herlock, in which they must reign in the detective’s excessive deductions in order to uncover the real facts of the case. In addition to presenting evidence and interrogating witnesses, players will participate in “Summation Examinations,” in which they must point out discrepancies in jurors’ testimonies in order to advance the case.
The Story Mode, which is new to the Ace Attorney series, allows players to sit back and watch the game’s fascinating story unfold without having to conduct any further investigative work. For those who want to dive deeper into the mythology of Ace Attorney, the game also includes a variety of additional material.
The large Art Gallery and Auditorium allow players to immerse themselves in the game’s artwork, music, and voice recordings. Also, the game contains “Escapades,” which are eight extra mini-episodes that are independent of the game’s main plot.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles costs $39.99 on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A digital bundle combining both The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is also available for $59.99 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
