The Latest GTA Online Update Brings A Terminator Easter Egg

GTA Online's Los Santos Tuners update is the most successful update in the game's eight-year run thus far. It added 10 new vehicles modeled after classic tuner cars, such as the Annis Remus, Dinka RT3000, and the Vapid Dominator GTT, while also add the LS Car Meet, a warehouse where up to 30 players can meet up and show off their rides.

It basically turns GTA Online into Need for Speed Underground, which might be the closest we ever get to an NFS Underground remake.

But besides the fancy tuner cars, Los Santos Tuners also came with a whole heap of Easter eggs for eagle-eyed players to feast their peepers on. The GTA Series Videos YouTube channel recently posted a video showcasing all of them, and it includes a Terminator reference.

In the Prison Contract that becomes available after you join the Los Santos Car Meet and set up your auto shop, there's a mission called Access Point that asks you to steal a stunt ramp from a nearby movie set. The movie set in question appears to be for Terminator 2, since one of the NPCs is wearing a black leather jacket, sunglasses, and is armed with a pump-action shotgun just like Arnold Swarznengger's T-101 character.

On top of that, this Terminator spoof is exceptionally hard to kill, with way more health and the ability to resurrect himself after death.

The terminator references don’t stop there. Sometimes the movie set spawns in the Los Santos storm drain, a reference to the famous motorcycle chase scene from the movie. There’s also a pair of NPCs named John and Sarah Connor.

That's not the only movie referenced in Los Santos Turners. The Fast and the Furious gets two nods in the form of a Dinja Jester made up to look like Brian O'Conner's Toyota Supra from the film, and the Car Meet building itself is based on the Alameda Square Buildings which is where the first street race in the movie was filmed.
