Top Releases of June 2021
Although May was headlined by titles such as Resident Evil Village and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, June 2021 looks like it may be a stronger overall month of releases. With something for everyone, June 2021 looks to pair up this year’s E3 and Summer Game Fest with some solid titles.
Mario Golf: Super Rush – Switch – June 25
Mario sports titles elicit a special type of response for gamers, and Mario Golf: Super Rush looks to do the same. With various improvements and additional features, such as Speed Golf, Super Rush looks like another easy hit for Nintendo. While some of the other Mario sports titles could use some love, it is hard to be mad at any new Mario title, especially one that looks addictingly fun.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny – Switch – June 29
Known for its relatively complex gameplay, min-maxing of stats and leveling, humor, and Prinnies, the Disgaea franchise returns with Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. While the Disgaea series has its traditions, the biggest change with Defiance of Destiny is that everything is now 3D in battles, though it is supplemented by smaller changes as well. While newbies may be better served started with earlier titles in the franchise, Disgaea 6 will give you a lot of hours of gameplay, much like any Disgaea title.
