E3 2021: Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp Bundles The First Two GBA Installments

Sadly, Nintendo of America’s recent tweet recognizing the 20th anniversary of Game Boy Advance did not lead (for now) to the announcement of that handheld’s software library coming to Nintendo Switch in some form. However, the GBA era wasn’t totally ignored during this year’s E3, as the company revealed that, alongside WarioWare, another franchise from GBA’s heyday was making a comeback: Advance Wars! Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Give the trailer a gander:

Developed by the wizards at WayForward (masterminds of the Shantae series), as the name implies this is a remake of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. Re-Boot Camp boasts redrawn graphics, which has been polarizing to some fans who love the gorgeous pixel art of the originals. Still, the games have returned in their entirety, so expect the single player campaigns as well as multiplayer matches for up to four people at a time. It’s time to return to duty for the Orange Star Army when Re-Boot Camp launches on December 3.
