Two Members Of Respawn Are Still Working On Titanfall, The Rest Are On Apex

Respawn Entertainment has two members of staff working on Titanfall, whilst the rest of the team works on Apex Legends.

As reported by MP1st, community coordinator Jason Garza talked about the current state of Titanfall in a video that pre-dates the recent "Save Titanfall" hacking attacks, but has since been recontextualised due to the hacks.

In the video, Jason reveals that Respawn Entertainment has around two members of the team working on Titanfall, whilst the rest work on Apex Legends.

Jason said, "The Titanfall community is not forgotten or abandoned or anything like that. We’re still working on it, it’s just we can’t telegraph our moves, and we only have like one or two people on it because the rest – everybody else is on Apex, so don’t feel bad. It’s something we do work on just that these things take time, you can’t just press a button and everything’s fixed magically."

Although it's not clear how literal Jason is being when he says one-to-two members of staff are working on Titanfall, the small number of staff working on the game makes sense considering Titanfall and Titanfall 2 have long since finished development, and should feasibly only need a few people keeping an eye on them.

Jason's comments on the number of staff working on Titanfall have taken a new meaning with the "Save Titanfall" hacking attacks that have happened recently. Suddenly the difficulty in fixing these hacks makes a lot more sense, considering there aren't many members of staff able to work on and fix the game.

For those wondering how it's possible for Respawn to put so much of its staff on Apex and Titanfall and still release titles like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn Entertainment actually has two studios. The studio in Vancouver is the one that focuses on Apex Legends updates and development, whilst the California studio works on other titles. It's likely Jason is referring to the Vancouver studio here.
