Capcom recently posted its financial report for Q3 of fiscal year 2020-21 (October-December), and reported record profits. During the nine month period ending on December 31, 2020, the company accrued the highest ever profits in that period in its history, driven by strong sales for new and older releases.

Net sales for the consolidated nine month period stand at 64,867 million yen (up 22.6% year over year), operating income stands at 24,382 million yen (up 32.2%), while ordinary income stands at 24,088 million yen (up 28.8%).

In particular, Capcom attributed the profits to the “solid sales” of Resident Evil 3’s remake, as well as the “continued growth” of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Recently, Capcom also increased its revenue forecast for the entire fiscal year owing to stronger than expected sales for both those games, as well as the pre-orders for the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise.

Capcom will be sharing updated sales figures for its games soon, so stay tuned for those details.
