Universal & Ambline Trademark A New Jurassic World Game

Life Finds A Way

Although video game adaptations of movies have had some… rough results over the years, one franchise that’s had a surprisingly consistent output is Jurassic World. The Lego Jurassic World game has the signature charm and fun puzzle gameplay of the Lego series, while the Tycoon-like business simulator Jurassic World: Evolution offers everything you’d want from a game that lets you build your own dinosaur theme park. Jurassic World: Evolution 2 was recently revealed (by none other than Jeff Goldblum himself), and now Universal have registered a trademark for another new Jurassic World game.

All we really know about the upcoming game is the trademark information – so get ready for plenty of obtusely-worded legal talk! “JURASSIC WORLD PRIMAL OPS2122-1191541 trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of downloadable interactive multi-media software for playing games; downloadable software in the nature of a mobile application for playing games and accessing entertainment content for use with computers, portable handheld digital electronic communication devices, mobile devices, wired and wireless communication devices, and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software for wireless and electronic mobile devices, mobile phones, hand-held electronic devices, and video game consoles; computer game discs; video game discs; wireless communication devices and wireless communication systems comprised of computer hardware and recorded software for the transmission of audio, voice, and images.

Judging by the focus on mobile and PC terminology throughout the trademark, it seems that the game will at least be launching on those two platforms. If true, it seems that Jurassic World: Primal Ops could be the latest in a long line of battle royale-style games on mobile, like the modern juggernaut Fortnite or the upcoming spinoff title Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.

We’ve gotten no official update about Jurassic World: Primal Ops just yet, and it could be quite a bit before we get any real news about the game. We’ll be keeping an eye out for announcements over the next few weeks!
