Games Workshop held the Warhammer Preview Faith & Damnation livestream over the weekend, showing off some of the models releasing for their various games in the coming months.

Faith & Damnation featured reveals for Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Necromunda, and Warhammer Underworlds, complete with video teasers and brief discussions of the models.

The event started with the official reveal of the Soulblight Gravelords, a vampire faction for Age of Sigmar that has been teased for months. This release will allow players to run a proper vampire-focused army along the lines of the old Vampire Counts from Warhammer Fantasy Battle, with elite vampire lords, knights, and wizards leading armies of expendable undead hordes and monsters.

The teaser showed off the battletome and a few models for their line. Some of these include brand new plastic kits for classic models like the Blood Knights, Deadwalker Zombies, Deathrattle Skeletons, Fell Bats, and Wight King on Skeletal Steed. These will be replacing a variety of ancient kits, some of which have been around for over 20 years. Some fans have reportedly noticed the aforementioned models were recently taken down from Games Workshop’s online store.

Players will get their first taste of these new vampires and their shambling hordes when the Warhammer Quest: Cursed City board game releases, which Games Workshop promises will be “very soon.” Everything in the Cursed City box will be useable in Age of Sigmar, with the undead denizens of Ulfenkarn effectively acting as a Start Collecting! box for the Soulblight Gravelords.

The livestream preview then teased the next installment in the ongoing Broken Realms series of books, advancing the current Age of Sigmar story arc while introducing tons of new models and rules. While the previous three books have all focused on known characters in the Mortal Realms, Broken Realms: Kragnos will focus on a brand new godlike being that has recently reawakened.

The video teaser shows a centaur-like creature that is presumably the aforementioned Kragnos, and based on the narration, it sounds like this book might be the culmination of the ongoing narrative from Warhammer Underworld: Beastgrave and the ongoing Direchasm season.

Speaking of Warhammer Underworlds, there was a full reveal for Kainan’s Reapers, the sixth warband to be added to the Direchasm season of the card-based skirmish game. Kainan’s Reapers are the first Ossiarch Bonereaper warband for the game, and have been sent by Nagash to collect the bone tithe from the Silent People.

Necromunda got a full reveal for the models releasing alongside the House of Faith supplement. This is the fifth of the game’s ongoing faction supplement books, and focuses on the religious zealots of House Cawdor.

Aiding the cult in their continued crusade to purify the hive city and spread the God-Emperor’s faith are the Redemptionists, fiery fanatics that haven’t been seen since the old edition of Necromunda when it was discontinued decades ago.

Necromunda was rebooted in late 2017 after being out of print for decades, and since then has received a steady stream of new rules supplements and models. As such, the game will be getting a brand new two-player starter set to help ease newbies into the game.

As with the original boxed set, it will include all the tokens, dice, cards, templates, rulebooks, and models two players need to get started, with the two gangs in the box being House Escher and House Delaque.

The Warhammer 40,000 section of the preview focused on the Adeptus Mechanicus, who are the next faction in line to get a 9th edition codex.

“AdMech” received a lot of new releases as part of the Psychic Awakening series, and all of these new models will be featured in the codex, along with new rules and stratagems to properly integrate them into the army. The faction will also be getting the Skitarii Marshal, the long-awaited Skitarii HQ that was teased several months back.

The Sisters of Battle also received a new announcement in the form of the Castigator, a main battle tank based on the Rhino chassis. This tank is equipped with three heavy bolters on its frontal hull and side sponsons, with either a Castigator battle cannon or a twin autocannon as its main turret gun.

Considering that Sisters of Battle have several other upcoming models, like the Palatine and Paragon Warsuit, it only seems logical that their own codex is just around the corner.

Wrapping up the reveals were the surprise announcement of the Ork Beast Snaggas, a new subfaction of savage Ork boyz that shun the use of fancy trukks and battlewagons in favor of various war squigs and weapons that are primitive even by greenskin standards. While they only showed off one model, the faction looks to be a modern successor to the old Snakebite klan of crazy tribal Orks that rode into battle on feral beasts.

That concludes Games Workshop’s latest online preview event. Many of these models will be released over the next few months, or revealed in greater detail in future preview events.
