There are sometimes obscure mechanics in Digimon RPGs, and players on occasion are left to fend for themselves when it comes to figuring out what particular unexplained stats do. Fans of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory are no doubt quite familiar with this in the form of the CAM stat.

CAM, short for Camaraderie, represents the bond between a tamer and their Digimon partner, which is why it is the only stat represented as a percentage instead of a regular number. Similar to the ABI stat, CAM is not explained very well in-game, nor is it explained how to get more, however, since the title's 2017 release, diligent gamers have tested things out to see what exactly CAM is and how to get more of it.

In terms of gameplay, the higher a Digimon's CAM stat, the more likely they are to perform a Combo Attack with their allies. Since such tactics result in excellent additional damage onto one's regular attacks, it is a much-desired passive boost.

What CAM Does For Digivolution
Like with other stats, there are often minimum requirements of CAM that need to be met before a Digimon can digivolve into their strongest forms. A great example of this are many of the Ultra-level Digimon, such as the Royal Knights and the Seven Deadly Digimon. There are even some powerful Digimon forms that need CAM at 100% to be achieved.

How To Get CAM With Consumable Items
A quick and easy, albeit expensive, way to increase a Digimon partner's CAM stat is to feed them various kinds of consumable items. Specifically, the "Meat" items that can be bought are the consumables to look out for when shopping for CAM-boosting goods.

How To Get CAM Through Battle
The far less expensive way to get CAM is to simply battle alongside one's Digimon partners, though, this will take a while. For every 1 battle completed with a Digimon partner, all Digimon in the player's active party will have their CAM stat raised by 1%. It is important to note that Digimon in the player's reserve slots will not have their CAM stat raised this way.
