Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S Tech Specs Revealed, Wi-Fi 5 Support and No USB-C Confirmed

Microsoft has updated its websites for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in preparation for pre-orders going live next week. It’s also provided some helpful tech spec sheets for both consoles which reveals some good – and disappointing – new details. The Xbox Series X, for example, will weigh 9.8 lbs while the Xbox Series S is a measly 4.25 lbs.

Both consoles also support 802.11ac dual band for Wi-Fi, which means Wi-Fi 5 support is confirmed. They both also have USB 3.1 ports but no USB-C, which might be a downer for some people. At the very, it means that older Xbox One controllers and accessories can support the Xbox Series line so that’s nice.

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are slated to release on November 10th, priced at $499 and $299 respectively. Pre-orders for both will open on September 22nd. It should be interesting to see the response, especially with Sony rumored to be revealing the price and release date of the PS5 at its showcase tomorrow. As always, stay tuned for more details.
