Xbox Series X+S FPS boost

Xbox Series X+S FPS Boost has been added to over a dozen Electronic Arts games including Titanfall 2, Star Wars: Battlefront, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, and more, Microsoft has announced.

While the majority of the new FPS boosted games were already running at 60FPS on Xbox Series X+S, a lot of them now support 120FPS and even 120hz, provided your display can support 120hz. The only game that doesn’t support 120hz is Sea of Solitude, which originally ran in a cinematic 30FPS.

All thirteen games that now have Xbox Series X+S FPS Boost are all available on EA Play, a subscription service that gets you access to EA titles – which is also now included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Here’s a full list of the new titles that now support FPS boost:

  • Battlefield 1
  • Battlefield 4
  • Battlefield V
  • Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
  • Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
  • Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
  • Sea of Solitude
  • Star Wars Battlefront
  • Star Wars Battlefront II
  • Titanfall
  • Titanfall 2
  • Unravel 2

Originally launched back in February of this year, Xbox FPS Boost has been added to more games as well, including a bunch of Bethesda developed and published games like Fallout 76, Prey, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and even Ubisoft games like Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 4, and Rebellion’s Sniper Elite 4.

As previously announced, Microsoft has been going through both Xbox One and older Xbox titles and offering the game a performance boost, whether its enhanced visuals, auto HDR, and most notably improved FPS. This is one part of Microsoft’s ambitious backwards compatibility rollout, with the more recent addition of classic games for Xbox’s Cloud Gaming platform.

You can find the full list of Xbox FPS Boosted titles here over on the official Xbox site. As Microsoft adds more titles to their performance enhanced backwards compatibility roster, they’ll keep updating that list so make sure to check back as we report on new additions.
