For all long running series, some degree of change is inevitable. That why for the seventh mainline entry of Yakuza, subtitled Like a Dragon in the west, there came some big changes. Namely, the game’s combat changed from a beat’em up action title to a full scale turn-based RPG. But beside that, something that’s also changing is that the game will be launching on a multitude of systems in the west (it’s has been available for quite some in Japan), including the PC. And now we know what kind of rig you need, and maybe even when it’ll release.

Via the game’s official Steam page, we learned what kind of PC you’ll need. By and large it’s not too bad for a modern game with minimum requirements seeing at least an Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 with 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon HD 7870. For recommended, it’s bumped up to an Intel Core i7-6700 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 with 8GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU.

Speaking of the PC version, the pre-order page also came up on the Windows Store with November 12th as the release date at the time of writing this. As it stands, there’s no official date that’s been announced for the game, so it could be a slip up, but take it with a grain of salt for now.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is set to launch this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC, with a PS5 version coming at a later, undefined time. November 12th could be the release date for all versions outside the PS5, which would probably put it close to the expected Xbox Series X launch.
