Alongside the trailer, the Twitter account said, "Prepare your phones for the worldwide premiere of The Witcher: Monster Slayer — coming to iOS and Android for free on July 21st! See you on the Path!"

Android users can currently sign up early for Monster Slayer, and the game currently has its own store page. The store describes the game as having you, "Track monsters, learn their habits, and prepare for battle. Select the best weapons and armor, and brew powerful witcher potions to gain the upper hand before you begin a battle. As you gain experience and take on more dangerous foes, you will need to improve your skills, your gear, and your tactics in order to become a monster slayer of true renown."

Other details about the game include the fact that you'll have to use "real-time weather conditions" and "time of day" to hunt monsters. You'll then have to defeat them in combat, which will give you them as a trophy.

It seems like the game has levelling systems, as well as having you choose the right potions, armour and weapons for the job. There will also be detailed quest lines and objectives.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer recently had a soft launch, which led many to believe that the game would have its release date announced at the upcoming WitcherCon. The Twitter account promised big news coming soon after the soft-launch concluded, which turned out to be this release announcement.

Since the release date has already been revealed, Monster Slayer's appearance at WitcherCon is likely going to be an in-depth gameplay showcase for the app.
