Every Voice Actor Confirmed for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice LeagueCharlie StewartGame Rant – Feed

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Rocksteady’s take on the antihero team in its Arkham DC universe. The Squad includes Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang, all facing off against Superman and the Justice League in a strange twist of fate.

With a great cast of characters comes a great cast of voice actors. Here are the artists confirmed to be lending their vocal talent to Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Fans of Harley Quinn will be relieved to know that the character is in extremely safe hands with voice acting veteran Tara Strong. Strong first took on the character in Arkham City in 2011, but had been involved in other DC projects as well, voicing Batgirl from 1997-2016. Tara Strong also voiced Harley in DC Super Hero Girls in 2015 and in Batman: Arkham Knight, taking over from Arleen Sorkin who voiced the character from the Batman Animated Series through until her retirement after Arkham Asylum.

Strong’s casting makes sense as, unlike Gotham Knights, Suicide Squad takes place in a continuation of the DC universe established in Rocksteady’s Arkham games. New players, though, will likely heard Strong’s voice in other projects including starring as Timmy Turner in The Fairly OddParents, the titular character in Ben 10, and in the English dubs of films like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.

One of the biggest names attached to the new Suicide Squad game is also one of the most surprising. WWE wrestler Nuufolau Joel Seanoa, AKA Samoa Joe, will be playing King Shark in the upcoming Rocksteady title.

His hard-hitting fighting style likely had an impact on the casting as well, with King Shark likely being the heavy of the Suicide Squad lineup. Just as with The Rock or Dave Bautista, it is far from uncommon for people to move from WWE to professional acting due to the serious performance skills required for professional wrestling. Most of Joe’s video game performances have been as himself in WWE games, but he also played Beast in Telltale’s Game of Thrones and fans will likely be excited to see him continue his endearing performance from the trailer.

So far, these are the only two voice actors that have been confirmed for the game. However, there are a few predictions which can be made based on Rocksteady’s history. First, the original Arkham games tried to use voice actors like Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy as they had provided the voices in the original Animated Series, upon which much of the games’ tones are based.

This makes it seem likely that Tim Daly, the voice of Superman in Superman: The Animated Series, was approached for the voice of the Man of Steel, but it is unknown if he accepted or if Rocksteady is planning to go in a different direction for their its version of Krypton’s son. If Daly was not available, it is likely that a well-established voice actor with a good range of impressions was hired to replace him, just as Tara Strong and Troy Baker were hired to play Harley Quinn and the Joker respectively when their Animated Series VAs stepped down from the roles.

It has yet to be announced who voiced Deadshot or Captain Boomerang in the Suicide Squad teaser trailer, but unlike Superman, their voices were featured in the trailer itself, it is very likely that more details about the cast will be revealed in the coming days.

Captain Boomerang has been played by Nolan North and John DiMaggio in the past, either of whom could make a return. Will Arnett, who voiced Lego Batman, hosted the game’s panel at DC FanDome and also expressed interest in a role. What’s likely, however, is that with the star-pulling power of a studio like Rocksteady, players can expect a packed voice cast full of known talent.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches in 2022 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
