In this guide, we are going to go over every fish, as well as their location and the recipes that you can make with them. Fishing will unlock almost immediately in the game, so you do not have to complete any additional quests to start fishing.

How To Fish

There are two main ways to collect fish. First, you can fish from the chair on the back of your ship. Above, you can see this chair circled.

To start fishing, interact with the chair. Stella will sit in the chair and cast her line. The lure will float upon the surface of the water. When it starts to dip, press the 'interact' button. This will reel the line in.

The line will change colors depending on the amount of resistance the fish has. The line will start off white, and then change to yellow, orange, and then red.

When the line is red, this means that line will break soon. Quickly release the interact button. The line will go back out again, returning to white. Before the fish has a chance to escape, hit the interact button again to reel them back in. Repeat this until the fish has been reeled in. Once the fish has been successfully caught, Stella will grab the fish and celebrate!

In addition to fishing from the chair on the back of your ship, you can also grab any fish stuck to the hull of your ship. To collect these fish, just jump in the water and interact with anything that has attached itself to your ship.
