Bummer. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, the pending relaunch of the popular Advance Wars series, has been delayed. Nintendo revealed today that the original December 3 release has been scrapped and pushed into the spring of 2022. Here’s the announcement:
Hello, troops! #AdvanceWars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was set to launch on 12/3, will now release for #NintendoSwitch in spring 2022. The game just needs a little more time for fine tuning. You’ll be battling with Andy & friends soon! Thanks for your patience. pic.twitter.com/dSi8VSsxTH

According to the statement, Re-Boot Camp “just needs a little more time for fine tuning.” What that fine tuning might be is anyone’s guess, but whatever the difficulties are, they’re significant enough to warrant a delay. To paraphrase Shigeru Miyamoto, a delay is better than getting a bad game, so let’s hope that once Re-Boot Camp does hit shelves it’ll be in fit and fighting shape.
