According to a report from Bloomberg, Ashraf Ismail, the former director of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla as well as director for Assassin's Creed: Origins and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, has been fired from Ubisoft.

His firing comes after misconduct claims emerged, wherein he used his position as a Ubisoft official to meet women at public events and slept with them. News of Ishmail's firing comes a month after he originally stepped down and issued this statement:

"I am stepping down from my beloved project to properly deal with the personal issues in my life," Ismail stated on Twitter (which has since been deleted). The lives of my family and my own are shattered. I am deeply sorry to everyone hurt in this."

"There are hundreds of talented, passionate people striving to build an experience for you that do not deserve to be associated with this," he continued. "I wish them all the best."

So, after a month of investigation, it definitely seems as though Ubisoft found enough to warrant Ismail's firing. Ubisoft then issued this statement to Bloomberg upon his firing:

“As a result of investigations, Ashraf Ismail has been dismissed from Ubisoft and is no longer an employee,” an Ubisoft spokesman confirmed to Bloomberg.

The exact reason for the departure is unclear, whether it is related to the specific misconduct incident brought up in June, or if their investigation uncovered more. Ishmail isn't alone in this, he's one of several high ranked members of Ubisoft that have left due to allegations, which includes Serge Hascoët, who resigned from his position of Chief Creative Officer at Ubisoft, Yannis Mallet, who was the Managing Director of Ubisoft's Canadian Studios, and Cécile Cornet, who was the Global Head of HR.
