Unlike Watch Dogs: Legion which broke franchise records with its digital sales in October, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time saw slightly less success. According to SuperData Research, the 3D platformer sold 402,000 digital units. Though Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy sold 520,000 digital units in its first month, it managed this despite being on sale for one day.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled also performed better, selling 552,000 digital units in June 2019. “There was likely less pent-up demand for Crash 4 and the title was also released during a more crowded release period than its predecessors,” as per SuperData. However, it’s important to note that first-month earnings were the highest among contemporary Crash Bandicoot titles due to Crash Bandicoot 4 having a $59.99 price tag. The recent remakes retailed for $39.99 by comparison.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is currently available for Xbox One and PS4. Activision and developer Toys for Bob haven’t indicated whether it will come to Nintendo Switch (despite apparent references being found in the game files) or even Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
