Crysis Remastered is a game that has been released on the Nintendo Switch of all places for a while now, but the PS4 players will soon be swinging through the jungle like it's '07.
Not much was revealed in the video, just that the game is coming to the PS4 this Friday and that it should be everything that players know and love about the original Crysis title. It's kind of odd how it was so nonchalantly announced, but hey, better later then never, eh?
Crysis Remastered is coming out on the PS4 on August 21, 2020. It has already been released on the Nintendo Switch and will subsequently be released on the Xbox One and PC, assuming the Friday release date isn't for all three.
Quick Take
The fact that the Crysis remake is coming to consoles more quickly than on PC is pretty ironic. The game that still melts PC's 13 years later isn't out on the latest hardware but is out on a mobile console and a 7 year old console is just weird. Hopefully that means we'll get another game that'll take a few years of upgrades in order to properly play, but it's been such a long time since that happened that I don't think it'll ever happen again. The era of Doom 3 and Crysis coming out specced for the future rather than the present seems to be long gone, and I think that's really a shame. At least we have Doom Eternal.
What do you think of this news? Are you going to be waiting Crysis Remastered to come onto the PC? Did you play Crysis on max settings in 2007? Let us know in the comments!
