Argentinian indie developer Saibot Studios is releasing its homage to ’90s shooters, Hellbound, on PC via Steam on August 4.
Hellbound – not to be confused with the 1995 Chuck Norris action film – is a fast-paced, nostalgia-inducing shooter. It draws pretty clear inspiration from classic FPS titles like Doom and Quake.
“After jumpstarting the project with a successful Kickstarter – and releasing popular demos to give players a taste of the bloodbath – the team is excited to finally release this gloriously brutal game,” the studio said in a press release.
Hellbound: Survival Mode has been available on Steam for two years. Now the developer is releasing a full-fledged campaign with seven levels to test players’ mettle in the depths of Hell.
In addition, the game features four survival arenas, eight classes of enemies, five heavy weapons, and three different power-ups. And true to form for a Doom-inspired game, it will have “tons of secrets to discover,” the developer promises fans.
