Coinciding with the recent release of two online-capable titles — Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Strikers: Battle League — Nintendo is offering a free seven-day trial of the base version of Nintendo Switch Online, even if you’ve already done a free trial in the past. This offer isn’t available to current subscribers, however, nor does it include the Expansion Pack content.
With Nintendo Switch Online, you’ll be able to access online content in games as well as the library of NES and SNES titles currently available to play. (Nintendo 64 and Genesis titles are only available with a NSO + Expansion Pack membership.) Along with Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Strikers: Battle League, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe recently launched the Booster Course Pass, which will introduce 48 new courses to the game throughout 2022 and through the end of 2023. Additionally, Splatoon 3 is currently scheduled to launch on September 9 and will have online co-op, and a wide variety of other existing Switch titles have online play, from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Tetris 99, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and many more.
So if you still haven’t jumped on the NSO bandwagon, now’s a good time to give it a shot and see if it’s for you!
