Halo Infinite’s Xbox One Version Has Not Been Canceled, Per 343

Halo Infinite was at one point set to launch alongside Microsoft’s new generation of consoles back in November, the Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, it would not be the case as the game was pushed back to Fall of 2021. Despite launching alongside the new consoles, the game was also set to come to the Xbox One. A recent LinkIn profile was discovered of someone who worked on the project that lacked the Xbox One version as part of the releasing platforms, leading to speculation that it had been dropped. That, however, isn’t the case.

343 Community Manager John Junyszek was asked about the rumor on Twitter, and he replied with a simple “Nope,” and wishes for a good Holiday (the persona asking has deleted his tweet, for whatever reason). This is actually the second time Junyszek has shot down the possibility of the Xbox One version being dropped, when he said back in August the title was still set to launch in 2021 and on all originally announced platforms.

Some have hoped that cutting the previous gen version would help the game, especially after its rough first showing earlier in the year. But it seems to be the case Microsoft and 343 are dedicated to bringing the game to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC next year.

Nope. Please let me enjoy the holidays
