Wondering if Breath of the Wild 2 is still coming in 2022? If Bayonetta 3 is really going to see the light of day this year? According to Nintendo’s latest financial report, the answer to both of those questions is yes.
In tandem with the release of their recent financials, Nintendo republished their launch dates and windows for already-announced Switch titles, which you can find below (US dates only):
- Pokémon Legends: Arceus — January 28, 2022
- TRIANGLE STRATEGY — March 4, 2022
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land — March 25, 2022
- Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp — Spring 2022
- Splatoon 3 — 2022
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 — 2022
- Bayonetta 3 — 2022
- Metroid Prime 4 — TBA
For readers wondering why we included Pokémon Legends: Arceus when the game has already released, it’s listed because these were results for the 3rd Quarter of Fiscal Year Ending March 2022 (and yours truly is a completionist who wanted to present the list as Nintendo published it).
While this isn’t the most exciting news, what is good is that, so far at least, Nintendo is running on schedule for their biggest releases of the year. It’s disappointing to see that Metroid Prime 4 is still stuck in limbo after all of these years, but it’s better than hearing that it’s been canceled altogether. And to reiterate: these are just the titles that Nintendo has already announced. Who knows what’s on the horizon and will be announced at some point this year.
