When Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales swings around less than a month from now, players will be stepping into the shoes of – as the name suggests – Miles Morales, who’s been training with his new Spidey powers for a year now and is now ready to step up and take the mantle of one of New York’s superhero protectors.
Of course, given how 2018’s Spider-Man saw players often playing short sections as Mary Jane and Miles, you’d be forgiven for wondering if the same would happen in Miles Morales as well (perhaps with a short section where you’re playing as Peter Parker?). According to creative director Brian Horton, however, that’s not going to happen.
Speaking in an interview with Game Informer (which you can view below), Horton confirmed that players will be playing as Miles Morales “100% of the time” in the upcoming game. “Really focusing on Miles allowed us to put maximum effort into delivering the best Miles experience we could,” he added.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is out on PS5 and PS4 on November 12. You can check out some stealth and combat gameplay through here, or some snippets from the game’s first boss fight through here.
