After over half a decade on the shelf, last year saw the announcement that the iconic Mass Effect RPG series would be making a come back. Not only is there going to be a full fledged sequel continuing the story, a remastered collection of the original three titles in the Legendary Edition is also flying in. At one point it was rumored the collection was going to come out at the tail end of 2020, but it was not to be. As of now, we have no official date on the books, but that could change soon.
It looks as multiple retailers have listed March 12th as the release date for the collection. Specifically, Indonesian retailer GSSHOP and Spingapore-based Shopitree. The 12th would be a Friday, which has become a more commonplace day to release games.
As always with retailer leaks, you have to take it with a grain of salt, but the fact that these dates popped up like this from two retailers at roughly the same time definitely is noteworthy. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime this year. We’ll keep you updated when an official announcement comes.
