Capcom continues to promote the different weapons of Monster Hunter Rise. Today’s trailers are about the Heavy Bowgun and Light Bowgun, and while they share similarities to the previous games, new techniques have been added to the mix. Check them out below.
The Heavy Bowgun continues to focus on dishing out hefty damage with either Wyvernheart or Wyvernsnipe ammo. However, it also gets a significant amount of mobility with “Free Silkbind Glide”. Even cooler is “Counter Shot” which allows for anticipating a monster’s attack and then immediately following up.
The Light Bowgun is still the choice for quick shooters, though “Silkbind Glide” is useful for closing the distance and attaining optimal range. Meanwhile, one can use “Fanning Vault” to jump into the sky and fire on monsters from above. You can also send a Wyvernblast down at an opponent or reload in mid-air.
Monster Hunter Rise is out on March 26th 2021 for Nintendo Switch. It will have a limited-time demo on the eShop in January 2021.
